About the Item
Pair of chairs, without seats. Slightly curved ergonomic backrests, in a single piece of moulded wood, with a diamond design and a medium varnish finish that highlights the pattern of the shaft. The rectangular base is made up of straight legs, slightly inclined for stability, joined by horizontal side and front braces that reinforce the structure. The lower crossbars indicate the possibility of use in environments requiring structural strength, such as dining rooms or institutional use. The current state requires replacing the seats, which were probably upholstered or made of interlocking wood, looking at the traces in the frame fittings. The design suggests series production in the mid-20th century, with modern, functional lines and no ornamentation. The chairs show signs of wear and tear consistent with prolonged use, while maintaining structural integrity and potential for restoration.
