For sale is a rare French Empire side chair, a stunning example of early 19th-century craftsmanship. Hand-carved from rich fruitwood, this chair features a gracefully turned, back scrolled top rail and an upholstered seat back with a loose cushioned seat, all adorned in luxurious silk upholstery with a striking striped pattern of warm reds, golds, and cream. The front ebonized legs, designed to resemble an animal's leg and foot, add a unique touch, enhanced by intricately carved patarae and a bold ebonized border.
