About the Item

Sparkling Chair In 2010 at the Salone Internasional del Mobile Dutch designer Marcel Wanders presented a chair made by the same blow-Moulding technique used to manufacture water bottles. Called Sparkling chair, the chair was made of transparent plastic for Italian manufacturers Magis. After the Moulding process, the hollow spaces were filled with high pressure air to strengthen the design. Ultimately, unfortunately, the chair was realized in a thicker material quality to assure sturdiness beyond the chairs’ misuse. In final production, no gas was used or needed. Marcel Wanders disappointedly renamed the chair, it will now go by the name of “Still Chair”. ☹ Rare set of 4. The production was stopped, and few were produced. Marcel Wanders is a leading product and interior designer, with over 1,900+ iconic product and interior design experiences all around the globe for private clients and premium brands such as Alessi, Baccarat, Bisazza, Christofle, Kosé Corporation/Cosme Decorté, Flos, KLM, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, LH&E Group, Louis Vuitton, Miramar Group, Morgans Hotel Group, Puma, Swarovski among scores of others
