Post-Modern Bespoke French Barrel Chairs
About the Item
Purchased at a vintage market outside of Paris, these chairs were brought back to a Connecticut estate where we found them and took them to our workroom for restoration. We ebonized the walnut so that it would pop against the new white faux-shearling upholstery. These chairs have a gorgeous shape that encompasses the sitter. From the back, the legs are slight v-shape, reminiscent of a boomerang. We believe they are likely to be originally Italian in origin.
