About the Item
Rustic late 19th century country French provincial three seat sofa crafted from rich walnut. The sofa has a turned wood spindle frame with long stretchers. The frame has been recently reupholstered with a neutral cream toned textured fabric. The back of the flat seat has a scalloped camel back with a gracefully curved crest. The carved seat apron has a decorative twisted rope carved motif. The padded arms measure 26.5 inches high with an exposed wood front. The conforming cushions are deep and comfortable. The walnut has a desirable aged patina adding to its character with a cottage core aesthetic. The exposed wood back is uniform while the front legs have been designed slightly canted inwards on the ends. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA. Amazing French profile and patina.
