American Classical Mahogany Sofa, circa 1840, mahogany veneer, later tapestry style upholstery, curved ogee crest rail, pierced and carved stiles, rolled upholstered arms, slight serpentine seat with ogee seat rail on front scrolled feet with casters. 35 x 87 x 25 in., seat height 16 in.
Wear and imperfections from age, use, and being moved. Later upholstery with fading; some small veneer chips; old, likely original, dark mellow finish.
