About the Item

Camaleonda sofa by Mario Bellini for C&B Italia, circa 1970s. This iconic sofa features four seat elements with four back-rests. The Camaleonda became instantly famous when introduced at The New Domestic Landscape held in the MOMA Museum in 1972. It is flexible in use. The sections can be used separate or together. The backs and armrests are attached with rings and carabiners and rope which allows for them to be placed in many variations in a given space. The sofa can also be expanded with additional Camaleonda sections that we can provide upon clients' request. The set comes with its original C&B label found intact at the bottom. The sofa features: Original label of C&B manufacturer 4 sections including 4 back rests. The sofa has been re-upholstered keeping in mind one of the Camaleonda's most iconic brown/beige wool fabric reupholstered versions. We carefully chose an iconic fabric to highlight the authenticity of the piece while rendering it a coveted collectible in pristine condition for the space to which it is added.
