About the Item

Fabulous MCM Jens Risom attributed designed sofa or settee with wood frame on tapered legs. The sofa arm, drops down from the back creating a sculptural effect. The front of the sofa is 72"w and tapers back to 69"w at the back giving it a dramatic stance (Trapezoid). Original upholstery with contrast piping appears to be original, but is faded, has a few water stain. Seat foam has been been replaced. Seat Depth 28" This sofa very much has a Danish design aesthetic, Risom born in Denmark , began promoting Scandinavian design in home furniture in the early 1950s. From one owner house, filled with MCM design classics and the house itself had architectural merit.
