Italian modern Brown leather modular sofa Paione by Claudio Salocchi for Sormani, 1970s
Modular sofa mod. Paione entirely in camel brown leather. The 3 modules are: a rectangular pouf, a module with a backrest and one with a backrest and armrest. The square seats are made up of a cushion placed on a plastic shell structure, covered in leather. The backrests are squared and curved at the top. It can be used as desired, in fact it can be use together or as separate modules.
Produced by Sormani in 1970s and designed by Claudio Salocchi. Logo present on the fabric under the seat.
Vintage condition, the couch has scattered signs of age and use. The leather has cracks and in some places an uneven color.

Claudio Salocchi
Born in Milan 1934, graduated in Architecture at the Milan Politecnico University. He has been Vice-President of ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale), and has taught at the State Professional Institute of Furniture and Furnishings in Lissone and the School of Architecture of Milan Polytechnic. On an international level, Salocchi’s work covers the fields of architecture, interior and industrial design. A great deal of his works and projects were chosen and exhibited through selections or invitations at the most important exhibitions, events or museums, worldwide.
