"Sleep O Matic" Sofa by Marco Zanuso for Pizzetti

About the Item

Stunning sofa model "Sleep O Matic" designed by Marco Zanuso and produced by the Pizzetti company in the 1950s. The sofa comes with the original fabric in excellent condition, an iridescent velvet striped with a tiger's eye effect, with the characteristic brass feet typical of the designer in the early 1950s. The sofa is extremely elaborate in that it has a mechanism that allows it to be transformed into a chaise longue, as shown in the photographs, and it also has a convenient compartment under the seat where you can cram items for the living room. Present production mark in the inner compartment and on the straps. Excellent overall condition, only pointing out three tiny 2 mm cigarette holes on the seat, which do not compromise the aesthetics because they are minimal and barely visible.
