About the Item

A modern Swedish "Paradise" Sofa by designer Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist (1925-1997) for Nordiska Kompaniet. Started in 1890, Nordiska Kompaniet is a manufacturing company that has collaborated with famous designers and architects in their workshops in St. Petersburg, Stockholm and Gothenburg under the supervision of Axel Einar Hjorth. Upholstered in citrus yellow fabric with arching back to form armrests above tight seat with self welt . Back includes 22 upholstered buttons and rests upon tapered and splayed legs in veneer birch.
