1 of 2 18th Century circa 1780 Georgian Claw & Ball Carved Walnut Stools

About the Item

We are delighted to offer this sublime circa 1780 George II and later walnut stool with ornately carved legs and Claw & Ball feet This piece is a very good looking well made and decorative stool with a glorious timber patina. It is just over 240 years old, in that time, I'm sure its had some alterations and repairs, I can see traces of old worm which have been treated as a matter of recourse. Otherwise it is a very fine example indeed This piece is expertly hand carved, the timber patina is to die for, its pure art furniture that functions perfectly We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks all over Dimensions Height:- 49.5cm Width:- 59cm Depth:- 49cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses RH20 1DF. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
