About the Item
We are delighted to offer this sublime circa 1780 George II and later walnut stool with ornately carved legs and Claw & Ball feet
This piece is a very good looking well made and decorative stool with a glorious timber patina. It is just over 240 years old, in that time, I'm sure its had some alterations and repairs, I can see traces of old worm which have been treated as a matter of recourse. Otherwise it is a very fine example indeed
This piece is expertly hand carved, the timber patina is to die for, its pure art furniture that functions perfectly
We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks all over
