About the Item
Set of four barstools, chromed steel, leatherette, Italy, 1970s
A set of post-modern 1970s Italian barstools. The seating element is a compact volume, upholstered in ochre yellow leatherette. Its shape is simple: a low cylinder with rounded edges. Each stool stands on a single central column, rising vertically and widening into a trumpet-like base. At mid-height, a circular footrest is attached, its form echoing the geometry of the seat above. Together, the vertical shaft, footrest, and flared base form a rhythmic composition of circles and curves.
Kindly note that the set is in used condition. The fabric contains tears and stains. The chromed base is patinated and worn. Reupholstery and restoration can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery and restoration is possible as well.
