Our Japanese dining stool is a modern and stylish dining chair which is carefully crafted down to the very smallest detail. The design is a mix of Japanese minimalism and Nordic functionality, and the end result is a beautiful and multifunctional oak chair – such as a dining room chair, a side table for your living room, or a bedside table. Designer's Biography Kristina Dam graduated from The Royal Danish School of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design in Copenhagen. In her designs, you will find her great love for architecture and minimalistic graphic lines. Everything originates from Kristina’s passion for design and art. She will find her inspiration when traveling, browsing Pinterest, blogs, Instagram, and talking to people. Her first product – a series of limited edition illustrations – quickly became a favorite in Scandinavian design stores, magazines, and homes. Today Kristina Dam Studio has developed into a design powerhouse of furniture and accessories. Two collections are launched every year and we collaborate with upcoming as well as established designers. Kristina Dam Studio was founded by graphic designer and architect Kristina Dam in 2012. The initial design idea for the studio was to create industrial designs that had a more art-based approach. The idea of making art and interior design merge, both in furniture, accessories, art prints, and illustrations We call our design approach "Sculptural Minimalism". Designs by Kristina Dam Studio are graphic and architectural with a high level of detail and excellent craftsmanship. Furniture from Kristina Dam Studio is mostly made from natural materials. We believe that mastering the monochromatic palette enables us to create timeless and enduring designs. Distinct and beautiful - simplicity with an attitude. Honest materials We only use honest, genuine, natural, and carefully selected materials – and we treat them with respect. The majority of our collection is produced within the European Union. Our love for genuine materials is a part of our Nordic design inheritance – a legacy we take very seriously. Sculptural Minimalism The major lines in the designs are graphic and architectural. A high level of detail and pristine craftsmanship are key are well. Kristina Dam Studio furniture pieces are assembled with spigot joints and dowels and produced in natural materials. You’ll find the same love for details in all of your designs. A sculptural approach to design Kristina Dam Studio aims to design products with a sculptural approach. Designs that have character, style, and a bold expression that will add something extra to your interior. With each collection, at least one new sculpture is launched. That sculptural quality and approach are visible in all our designs.

Minimalist Dining Chair. Created by Loose Fit and handmade to order in the UK. Available in a choice of three timbers - English Oak, Ash or London Plane. Simple and delicate in appearance, yet comfortable and durable enough for everyday use. Understated and elegant wooden dining chair featuring the subtle use of hand cut dovetail and bridle joints to form the simplicity and rigidity of the frame. They have a solid wood seat which shows off the prime timber of their construction. The design has a modern, square frame which creates clean lines and makes them lightweight even though they are made from solid timber. The chair is finished in a hard wax oil, which gives it a satin sheen and brings out the grain of the wood. Chair available in three types of timber - solid Oak, olive Ash or London Plane. Choose oak for a classic warm colour, olive ash for a lighter wood with the character of an older tree, or London plane for figured wood with rich colouring.
