About the Item

This is a stool that was made from the Taisho period to the mid-Showa period (1910 to 1960) in Japan. They are often used in factories and craftsmen's workshops, but they were also found in ordinary households. The material is probably wood such as beech. Although it has a simple structure, it is very firmly put together and there is no wobbling. Regarding other conditions, Some of the legs are missing. Also, the leg part had broken once, so I glued it back together. To explain in detail, it was originally reinforced with wire, but I unraveled it and glued the wood. I also liked how it looked with the original wire wrapped around it, so I wrapped the wire around it again. Two types of wire are used: aluminum and copper. As for the strength of this part, it was firmly bonded, so there is no problem with durability. A simple and stylish stool that can be used in any space. Weight: 2kg Seat size w37.5cm d17.5cm
