About the Item

Ricardo Fasanello (1930-1993) stands out today as one of the most remarkable Brazilian designers. His iconic designs have been rewarded worldwide since the 1970s, and one of his furniture pieces – the Esfera lounge armchair from 1971 – is in the MOMASF collection today. Ricardo Fasanello designed the Espaço Chairs in 1974. This pair has a carbon steel structure, with upholstered seats and backrests covered with leather. The Ciranda Stool, from 1986, composes a fantastic set with Espaço Chairs, following a similar design. All pieces are in their original condition. Fasanello's short and productive career as a designer was marked by uninterrupted and frenetic production, exploring the potential of various materials, including steel, fiberglass, leather, and especially resin. Fasanello states, "Either the material demands a shape, or the shape indicates the material. Designers are prisoners of that relationship." These unrestored pieces are in very good vintage condition. Upholstery service by our Workshop is included as a courtesy.
