About the Item

PK19 bar stool is handcrafted in tubular carbon steel and is finished in black micro-textured electrostatic painting. Seat and backrest are upholstered in nautical anti-mold leatherette over naval plywood. The seat has no seams and its rounded shape facilitates the flow of any liquid that may eventually fall on it. The closure of the backrest seam is made by hand Stainless steel screws, resistant to oxidation, fix the circular upholstery to the structure. This piece is ideal for those who prioritize the easy maintenance of furniture. For cleaning, use only a soft, damp cloth. If the stool is used outdoors, it must be stored after use. It cannot be in continuous contact with sun and rain. The inspiration for this collection came from a trip to "Ilha do Mel", on the coast of "Paraná", south Brazil. Circular pieces represent the non-orthogonality of nature. The vibrant colors of the fishing boats have been applied to the seat covers. You can see many chapels and small churches when walking around the island, as a result of the religiosity inherent to its population. In the project, the representation of this religiosity took place in the design of the structure, inspired by "Ponta da Nhá Pina" cross, located at the top of this rock formation. Close to "Morro do Sabão". As focal point of this project, we inserted the figure of "Tiê Sangue", a bird symbol of Atlantic Forest, easily found in the vegetation that permeates the inns. The bird appliqué is also made of nautical leatherette.
