Primitive Japanese Wooden Stools, Wabi-Sabi

About the Item

A small, rugged stool made of cherry wood and iron legs. The thick seat is slightly concave toward the center, gently supporting your body. Fine cracks and scratches remain on the surface, giving it a texture that seems to have withstood the passage of time. The iron legs retain the roughness of rust, creating a beautiful contrast with the wood. Without decoration or excessive assertion, it quietly tightens the space just by being there. It also goes well as a plant stand or a side stool next to a low table, and fits in with a variety of atmospheres, from natural to industrial. Our skilled craftsmen have carefully repaired it and brought it back to life as furniture to be passed on to the next generation. *This is an antique in good condition, but there are small scratches and slight distortions other than those shown in the detailed images. Weight:2kg - About Us - Based in Japan, we reinterpret high-quality Japanese furniture from the Taisho period, a fusion of Western culture and Japanese craftsmanship, and upcycle it into "modern Japanese furniture." Each piece is carefully repaired by a skilled craftsman, and reborn as furniture to be passed down to the next generation. We deliver beautiful and functional Japanese furniture that will be loved for generations to come.
