Set of 4 Campaign Chairs - foldable Safari Chairs - Almazan, Spain 1960s
About the Item
Set of 4 folding Campaigner chairs / Safari / Director's chairs by Almazan - Spain from the 1960s, based on the Mogens Koch MK-16 chair from 1932. The backrest, armrests, and seat are hand-stitched from dark red saddle leather. The end caps are made of brass, and the seat is attached to the frame with a row of upholstery tacks. Wood probably oak stained ash. Almazan stamp on the lower frame.
Condition: The frame and leather are in good condition. One backrest has water stains, and one brass cap is slightly torn - see detailed photos.
