Wrought iron and woven leather stool by Lila Swift & Donald Monell. Beautifully simple, three-legged construction with heavy patina to original, thick leather straps of assorted widths and textures, woven and tied underneath in an alluring, thoughtful yet unpolished manner. Each stool stamped underneath, "Swift and Monell. Eastern Point, Gloucester, Mass". Great example of the utilitarian beauty of Midcentury American design.
