Designed by Jonathan Nesci, whole stool is a sculptural seat made as an exercise in local production. Fabricated exclusively using material and knowledge from modernist-cradle Columbus, Indiana, the piece is created by highly-skilled machinists pressing two aluminium elements together as one. Jonathan Nesci
Jonathan is a furniture and exhibition designer based in Columbus who works with a variety of producers in the Midwest that use conventional and digital fabrication processes to execute his designs in a myriad of materials and finishes. In 2009, "Wallpaper" honored Jonathan with a Design Award for Best Use Of Material for his “Library Bookcase,” a wall-mounted shelf in polished aluminum that was recently added to the permanent collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
