About the Item
Amazing pair of leather wingback barber's chairs designed in the English Regency taste by Minton-Spidell, Los Angeles, CA. The chairs feature a large beech frame with an intentionally distressed patina on the dark finish to mimic a regency period piece. The frame is upholstered with a marbled British green leather bordered by decorative patinated brass tack nail heads. The chairs have distinctive bracket wings and padded flat arms ending with scrolls that measure 27 inches high. The construction is sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Each generous seat has a fitted loose seat cushion which is plush and deep. The chairs are beautifully aged with a country English aesthetic and profile. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Sold as a pair.
