About the Item
Antique Americana- style North American blanket chest with hinged lid, circa 1900. Hand-painted with a stylized Federal Eagle on the front. One talon grasping arrows and the other an olive branch. Fruit motif on the top with two cornucopia. Painting was done by American artist Lew Hudnall in the mid 20th century. Lew Hudnall was an Ohio artist who painted on antique pieces. This piece is an original one-of-a-kind piece.
