Superb William III example with great colour and beautifully carved appearance Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Select antique oak presents fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays Pleasingly finished in gorgeous, rich caramel hues Stout three-panel lid opening upon fascinating pin hinges Generous interior ideal for storage throughout the home Top secured by an inset working lock — key present Carved demi-lune fan motif accentuates the upper fascia Striking monogram diamond lozenges accentuate the pair of field panels A & S monogram alludes to a possible marriage-related scenario Standing prominently upon bracket feet at each corner This is a delightful antique carved coffer, with a distinctive carved appearance.
