About the Item
This is a beautifully crafted Georgian mahogany book or tray stand, designed with elegant simplicity and functionality in mind. Likely intended for use in a gentleman’s library or drawing room, it would have held folios, ledgers, or trays. Of rectangular form the base with three raised sides featuring sweeping serpentine curves, reminiscent of the George III aesthetic, carrying handles on both sides, smoothly shaped for comfort and ease of transport, raised on four turned bun feet, slightly inset to give a floating appearance and protect surface below.
