Beautiful and very solid large oak revolving bookcase in completely original and good condition. Revolving bookcase with cast iron base. Standing on porcelain wheels. Beautiful and functional.

Maker: Maple & Co. London.
The maker Maple & Co was the most important manufacturer of quality furniture in the world towards the end of the Victorian period (ca. 1880). The company furnished the winter palace of Tsar Nicholas, the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, all the major English embassies around the world, countless country houses and large hotels. Everyone who was important towards the end of the 19th century had their furniture made by Maple & Co. The quality and craftsmanship of these pieces of furniture is exceptionally beautiful.
