About the Item

Magnificent and ultra rare Arts & Crafts bookcase. Design by Willem Penaat for Fa. Haag & Zn Amsterdam. Striking Dutch design from 1897. Solid oak frame with original patinated brass handles on the four doors. The eight patinated brass hinges are also used as a decoration. Eight original beveled glass panels in the two small doors. Original hand-carved decorations and three solid oak shelves. This wonderful Arts & Crafts bookcase by Willem Penaat for Fa. Haag & Zn Amsterdam is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Please note that this top quality bookcase cannot be dismantled! This museum piece will be shipped in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers!
