About the Item

A very fine pair of late 18th century English George III bookcase cabinets in richly figured mahogany. Each features a molded cornice with dentil and foliate carving above glazed doors with intricate astragal glazing. The lower section is fitted with paneled doors and brass drawer pulls, framed by rope-twist molding at the waist. The pair exhibits quality joinery and carved rosettes, typical of the period.
