18th Century Country French Provincial Painted Buffet
About the Item
18th Century Country French Provincial Painted Buffet boasts tailored, elegant lines that combine with the distressed painted finish to create a light and airy look that is compatible with a wide variety of casual decors! The tailored upper door panel scrollwork complements the scrolls of the apron, with all other lines being rectilinear and classically inspired. The top features solid planks with a lightly stained finish providing contrast and a better-wearing surface. Brass key guards and hinges have been painted over for a homogeneous appearance. Capacious interior with two shelves for three surfaces creates very functional storage. Note the solid plank and chamfered panel construction visible on the back side, displaying the double-pegged mortise & tenon joinery used throughout the design.
