About the Item

The ashen hue of the bleached oak accentuates the grandeur of this vintage buffet ‘a deux corps’ handcrafted in France circa 1850. Crowned with a molded cornice, this chest boasts deep curvilinear carvings of the panel doors echoed in the waves of the scalloped apron and sturdy feet. In true French Provincial fashion, each element is crafted with expert clarity, regional carpenters would have produced distinctive patterns based on their locale.
