About the Item
Antique Liegoise Louis XIV marble top buffet is a splendid example of the extraordinary quality in both materials and craftsmanship for which the region has been world-renowned for many centuries! Utilizing seasoned white oak, the artisans carefully created a step-back casework with mitered corners that presents a pleasing visual appeal from all angles. The mitered corners and center returns are all embellished by the sculptor's hand, of course, and complement the exquisite bas relief carved into the three cabinet doors, with each framed by elegant molded detail. The drawers feature shell motifs and molding and are centered with brass keyholes for a clean effect, complementing the scrolled apron and broad pediment-style base below. Pull keys are supplied for easy access to the spacious drawers and three cabinets below, creating excellent storage. The top, however, almost steals the show with luxuriously veined 3cm marble that has been meticulously beveled and contoured to follow the complex lines of the casework below.
