Mid-19th century country hutch or buffet à deux corps, French Canadian. Pine with wonderful old worn blue-grey paint. Panelled doors; upper section cut-out with shaped arches; bracketed feet; stepped, repetitive molding crown; turned knobs on the molded drawers; the doors with metal slide lock pulls. Drawers partially rebuilt. Provenance: Monique Shay, Woodbury, CT, renowned dealer in French Canadian country furniture, 5/11/2011 for $9,800. 53" w. at body. 56.5" w. crown; 20.5" d. body; 80.75" h.
