About the Item

Important sideboard / buffet / cabinet with two parts in carved walnut. Carved with caryatids / busts of women / winged mermaids. Abundantly sculpted with floral and fruit motifs, foliage, acanthus leaves, mascarons, lion's muzzles ... Wrought iron handles and locks. Beautiful model in the Renaissance style, inspired by the Burgundian and Lyonnaise productions of the 16th century (School of Hugues SAMBIN). France, 19th century, circa 1880. This piece comes from a Burgundian castle. The lower part consists of a niche, surmounted by 3 drawers and three cupboards (keys present, locks in working order). The upper part has 2 galleries. Good condition, beautiful patina, the cabinet has been cleaned, the old finish stripped, wood treated against xylophagous, new polished waxed finish. Dimensions: Height 265 cm Width 172 cm Depth 58 cm.
