About the Item
This buffet is a really charming painted Louis XV French Provincial buffet from the early 19th C. showing tool marks confirming its hand made origin. The buffet has an unusual placement of molded and beveled arched door panels with two center arched doors in the center and two permanent panels on either side of the doors. The panels and traverse are hand carved with floral branches and urns with flora. The feet are turned in a full cabriole. The style of the carvings and construction methods suggest Provincial cabinetry, possibly Normandy.
