About the Item

Rare Baroque hallway cabinet from Germany, made circa 1720. This type of cabinet it is called a 'Nasenschrank' in Germany (literally a 'nose cabinet'). This type became very popular and was manufactured outside of Frankfurt during the Baroque era. This cabinet is made of solid oak on solid pinewood corpus, and features all typical stylistic elements. All locks, fittings and the key are original. The feet are original pressed ball feet.
