18th Century Dutch Oak Cabinet

About the Item

Small cabinet hand-made in the Netherlands in the mid 1700s using oak and beautiful dovetail and peg construction. The cabinet is short and pretty versatile because of its small size. The top is finished with beautiful large dovetail joints and can be used as holding surface, as a result the cabinet could be easily used as a side table next to a couch if one is looking for a functional piece that is small, but provides plenty of storage space. The baseboard is hand-carved and features bracket feet. The cabinet consists of a single opening with two overlay doors decorated by raised molding. Overall the cabinet has an elegant and rustic look, making it a perfect piece for a country home that needs a splash of warmth and history.
