20th Century French Louis XVI Style Ormolu Cutlery Cabinet, c.1900

About the Item

Antique early 20th Century Louis XVI style French ormolu applied over ebonises and lacquered wood cutlery cabinet. Inside fabric lined and fitted to contain a full canteen of cutlery, with a reclining door protected by lock and key. The top ormolu panels beautifully cast depicting pierced floral designs, the central sides applied with cross torch and wreaths, the ebonized column shaped legs terminating with acanthus leaf terminals. The bottom and side handles in oval reserves and suspended leaf capped rings. This cutlery organiser is extremely practical and would be a superb addition to any dining room.
