Antique Adam Style Paint Decorated Cabinet for Restoration
About the Item
A finely painted honey tone wood banded cabinet in the classic Adam style. The top has cookie corners and is mounted on the cabinet with a single frieze drawer and double doors. They open to a storage space with adjustable side mounts for shelves that are not included. The whole is raised on tapering cylindrical legs with peg feet. Lacking a key.
The classic Adam style delicate painted decoration consists of green floral vines on the top, the frieze and the drawer. The doors have wreaths with bows framing floral urns and the sides have matching wreaths with bows.
Restoration recommended
Dimensions: 32" W, 15.75" D, 35" H
Condition: For restoration. Please review the detail photos. Lacking a key. There is some expected wear with marks and some scratches on the top. There are some veneer losses on the top banded edges and door corners. The door moldings are chipped slightly at the top center. There is slight expected wear along the top and drawer edges but minor. The doors have a tendency to open. Despite the wear, the piece retains a very decorative and admirable Adams style presentation.
