Antique Japanese Tansu Chest With Drawers on Contemporary Metal Stand Console
About the Item
A stunning and unique antique Japanese tansu chest with two interior drawers that sits on a custom made contemporary black metal stand. The tansu chest was part of a larger cabinet which was lost at some point in time. The black iron hardware on the tansu chest is original and in good, intact condition. Latches on the cabinet work well and close the cabinet securely. The black stand elevates the cabinet to a nice 36" console table height The tansu chest and metal stand are two separate pieces.
Condition commensurate with age and use. Old, inactive insect damage evident on the cabinet sides. More detail photos available. New custom made black metal stand. Tansu cabinet portion is strong and functional.
