Cabinet designed by Antonie et Manuel in 2009, manufactured by BD in Barcelona. This cabinet designed by Antoine and Manuel and edited by BD is a surprising mixture of applied arts, hieroglyphic language, contemporary graphics, fantasy and optimism. Produced with yesteryear quality, using here and now technology in white. Materials: Modules and shelves made of lacquered MDF Doors, top, sides: Injected integral polyurethane with a chipboard support Legs: Wood microtextured lacquered finish. Dimensions: D 250 cm x W 57 cm x (total) H 102 Production delay: 8 weeks. About the designers: Rarely does a graphic designer (two, in this case) go into the field of furniture design. We have to go far back in time to find them, to the time sof the high and low reliefs. This is exactly what Antoine Audiau and Manuel Warosz have done, a couple of extraordinary Parisian graphic artists who sign their works as Antoine + Manuel. The cabinet they have designed for this new collection brought out by BD Barcelona Design is a surprising mixture of Arts & Crafts, hieroglyphic language, contemporary graphics, fantasy and optimism. It is produced with the quality of yesteryear but using today’s technologies. About BD Barcelona: Accompanied with artisanal processes instead of mass production, their products always have more proximity to art than industrial design. Characterised by superior quality, short-series productions (and on occasion limited editions), and unique pieces due to crafted manufacturing. In the 1970s, BD pleasantly surprised by editing Gaudí’s furniture for his famous buildings and in the early 1990s, BD again astounded by introducing an exclusive first collection of furniture and lamps designed by Dalí. Recently the collections and designers with an accentuated artistic profile like Jaime Hayon and Doshi Levien, continue to point the way where design and art meet together. Design meets Art.
