This piece belongs to our MELANIE collection, which is a handmade modernized interpretation of this French Directoire style. The Directoire periode started at the end of the 18th century in France and remains famous.
It is remarkable for its straight, classic and timeless lines, sometimes enhanced with grooves or diamonds on the front.
The bonnetière cabinet features one single door and three adjustable shelves.
The door opens with a brass key in an oval entry with a lock.
The finish of this piece is original and chic with white-cream and gray stripes on the front door, a black lacquered rim and traverses and smoked cherry stain.

is a cabinetmaker's furniture brand established since 1920 in Mayenne.
It now belongs to the company MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANÇAIS.
The manufacture of each piece of furniture remains artisanal, 100% French and of high-end quality.
The solid wood comes from sustainably managed French forests, PEFC certified.

MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS is a new brand launched in September 2018 by Eric Weiler (founder) and Eric Gizard (designer). We deliver 100% made in France high-end and top quality furniture pieces. Main material is wood, mainly ash, oak and cherry. Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed French forests. The craft-handed manufacture in the Loire Countryside and Bretagne ensures robustness and a very long life cycle for each piece. All our models are already fully assembled in our workshops. Eric Gizard is a famous French Designer in Paris and works several Fashion and Luxury Brands. He sublimates with his very fluid and elegant design each piece of our collections EGEE and KUBE. More over and previous to the launch of MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS, in 2010, Eric Weiler took over an old cabinet-maker named GONTIER established in France since 1920. French Traditional pieces and new designed models from GONTIER are also proposed on 1st Dibs.
The colours and pattern on the door are customizable.
This Bonnetiere is also available in French Solid Oak (same price).
Bespoke: other dimensions, woods and finishes are possible, price is upon request.
