Japanese Antique Large Stacking Tansu 1860s-1920s / Cabinet Wabisabi
About the Item
This is a Stacking Tansu made in Japan.
It was made between the Meiji and Taisho periods (1860s-1920s), and is a traditional storage furniture with Japanese craftsmanship.
The material used is warm cedar wood, and the drawer handles are made of rugged iron hardware.
The texture of the wood has deepened over the years, giving it the beauty of time.
The overall design is extremely simple and lean, embodying Japanese "simplicity.
The lattice sliding doors and numerous drawers provide both visual beauty and practicality.
The abundance of storage capacity is especially attractive and fits naturally into contemporary spaces.
Both sliding doors and drawers operate smoothly and without stress. They have already been cleaned and can be used with confidence immediately upon arrival.
This furniture exudes the spirit of the Japanese wabi sabi, or quietness, with a sense of used taste and timeless serenity.
Weight: about 90kg (total)

Our Philosophy
Objects always tell the truth.
All I can do is just to face with them sincerely and give
them deep affection as much as I can.
There is no boundary of nationalities and of eras in beauty.
But I think now is the time we choose 'Japanese style' and it
will be the best way to remind us of what we are losing
today and to question us about an essence of beauty again.
I hope that you can touch the memories which the objects here have,
feel and think of something invisible but exists undoubtedly.
