About the Item

A pair of Italian walnut cabinets from the early 19th century, with canted sides, drawers, doors and carved motifs. Born in Italy during the early years of the 19th century, each of this pair of cabinets features a polygonal top sitting above a scoop molding. A single drawer, surrounded by rais-de-cœurs motifs and fitted with a metal pull, is separated from the doors below by a bead-and-reel frieze. Two pairs of double doors open to reveal convenient storage while each cabinet is resting on ogee bracket feet. With their nice proportions, carved decor and lovely walnut patina, this pair of Italian cabinets with canted sides circa 1800 will bring a touch of authentic elegance to any living room or foyer.
