A Pair of Neoclassical Design Two-Part Cabinets

About the Item

A pair of two-part cabinets in a Neoclassical design. The lower cabinet with oval pierced fret panel backed with fabric, concealing multiple mahogany drawers fit for cutlery and dining accessories above larger drawer with diamond patterned raised front and single pull. The lower cabinet is finished on top and can be used alone. The upper cabinet with overscaled Vitruvian scroll motif and recessed gold detail, having rounded fluted panel below stepped pediment. The frame detailed with classical rosettes and Atheniums. The mahogany outer wood painted in a glossy cream color. Circa 1890.
