About the Item

A Chinese Late Qing Dynasty period reddish brown lacquer side cabinet from the early 20th century with two drawers, two doors and brass hardware. Created in China during the Late Qing Dynasty period in the early 20th century, this side cabinet features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a reddish brown lacquer. The piece showcases a rectangular top with central board and distressed dark lacquer, sitting above two drawers fitted with brass C-scroll handles on circular backplates. Two doors below, presenting a large traditional medallion with teardrop pulls, open to reveal a dark brown lacquered interior with shelves offering convenient storage opportunities. The sides showcase recessed panels with distressed finish and the back is dark brown. The ensemble boasts a nicely weathered appearance. The cabinet is raised on four short feet with carved apron in the front.
