17th Century Geometric Inlaid Walnut Chest of Drawers Circa 1660

About the Item

An extremely rare 17th-century inlaid walnut geometric chest of drawers dating to 1660, featuring two short drawers, one large central cushion drawer, two lower long drawers, and one secret drawer. This beautifully inlaid chest of drawers showcases geometric designs, inlays, and mouldings , including an intricately inlaid top. It has polished brass pair drop handles and escutcheons, and it sits on its original block feet. This piece is of superb quality, with thick slab drawer linings and original backboards. This chest is a rare example and survivor from the 17th century, with usual signs of age and use. The drawers run smoothly and the chest is structurally sound & completely usable and ready for its new home . Dimensions: W 113.5 x D 63 x H 85.5 cm
