About the Item

High-quality Gustavian chest of drawers from the Mälardalen region of Sweden, dating from the late 18th century. Veneered with alder root and other types of wood, featuring diamond-shaped patterns and inlaid panels. The chest has three drawers, with the two lower ones designed as a matching pair. It is fitted with gilded Gustavian fittings. The corners of the chest are angled.
