19th Century Danish Biedermeier Bleached Pine Chest of Drawers / Commode

About the Item

Biedermeier chest of drawers hand-crafted in Denmark in the early 1800s using pine. The chest features three overlay drawers with beautiful, hand-made dovetail joints and curved drawer fronts. The side are flat and the top is flat and framed by chamfered overlay molding. The front corners of the case are chamfered as well. The chest still sits on the original, hand-carved bracket feet. Overall this is a small and very cute piece that is simple and elegant. The curvature of the front provides it with depth and just a touch of decoration. The drawers are large and can provide storage space. ts size and height make this a perfect piece for a bedside table/nightstand, as well as welcoming piece in a small foyer.
