About the Item
19th century burl walnut commode from France. The top is made from one single board of gorgeously grained walnut. The top follows down to simple sides, also in nicely grained walnut. The front of the case is the most spectacular part of the piece. There is a drawer in the molded edge under the top, which is over three lower drawers. The bottom drawer is extra deep for those bulky items that are hard to store. The case is banded at the bottom, and is raised on bracket feet in the front and simple feet in the back for easy placement against a wall.
