A striking 1950s French, Maison Jansen style, red lacquer and marble topped chinoiserie commode. The red lacquer decorated with gilt chinoiserie figures and pavilions in a wooded landscape. The sides with vases of flowers and foliage. Finished with gilt brass foliage handles and gilt brass mounts.
